In the fifties of the 20th century had been another short boom of interest in stereoscopic photography (and stereoscopic film; 3d film). Kodak launched in 1954 the Kodak Stereo Camera, and in this way a easy, simple and handy stereo camera.

With about 100 000 produced pieces in the following few years the Koak Stereo Camera had been one of the successfuls stereo cameras ever.

Especially to notice: the spirit-level [b] in the camera, to avoid a displace of the image axis from the horizontal. Thereby you can notice a creative restriction of the stereoscopic photography besides the "normal" photography. The diagonal view of the camera can not be realised in stereoscopic photography.

Also ist interesting to look at the filmstrip [c]. As you can notice, there are first three different half pictures, so after the third picture the film strip must be transported not only 1 futher half picture but 4 futher half picture widths. And this should be done in a way that the photgrapher don’t need to count.
