"The oceans – a heritage for the future" had been the theme of the world exposition of 1998 in Lisbon in Portugal. From the 22 of september until the 30 of september 1998 the Expo 98 took place in Lisbon. In the beginning of september I was there for 5 days.

The Expo opened at 9.00 a.m. their doors [1998 | 1a]. Already some minutes later the queue in front of some pavilions and halls had been as long as the rest of the day.

A new build (and still used) fair area at the shore has been the architectual base of the expostion in Lisbon. Only few of the buildings were specially and only for this exposition realised.

A line of cascades connected by a canal pass through the exposition area. The canal and the cascades are layed out with ceramics in friendly colors. Periodical an eruptiv output of water leave the cascades periodical .
