The exposition in Chicago of 1893 establish new
dimensions. While the exposition of London in 1862 used 9,2
hectares and the exposition of Paris in 1878 used 22,5 hectares
of area which where roofed by exposition buildings, in Chicago
in 1893 it has been over 81 hectares.
This represented an always expanding problem. There were too
many products and objects of too different kinds to be showed,
to bundle it in this way and making sense.
