1933 | Hall of Science

"Century of Progress" was the title of the world exposition in Chicago in 1933. Among other things the world exposition was a trial of the city to steer against the ruling economic crisis.

In the architecture this world exposition has been delivered from the historism and was oriented in materials and forms by the international modernism.

After closing the doors of the exposition in 1933 as planned, caused by the (also financial) success the city decided to continue the exposition in 1934.

A stereoscopic view of the exposition area for the red and green glasses is also to be seen.
