1967 | Deutscher Pavillon, Habitat

The roof over the german pavilion in Montreal 1967 was an exceptionnel construction of hanging cellular structures by the german architect Frei Otto. In Germany he is known through the olympic stadion in Munich for the olympic games 1972.

The american Richard Buckminster Fuller (born 1895), realised a three-quarter dome with a diameter of 76 metres. This based on the engineers analysis about wing units and constructions with minimized consumption of materials, which he started in the fifties.
